"A brilliant effort by the more antic wing of the Noise underground, East Coast style. Angst Hase Pfeffer Nase are fitfully extant and based in Massachusetts these days. And while it's really the sole member of California expat Chris Cooper... there may also be some other fingers in the mix. Certainly the electro blats encoded here are not necessarily the work of just two thumbs. But they're nice. As is the electro piece by Bhob Rainey, who remains better known for his breathwork with Nmperign (among others), but who has been very exciting in the electroacoustic realm lately. His piece here spins weirdly and elegantly into a pool of turtle water, ending in a cacophony of phlug that reminds me of the features created by Raymond Scott for his cartoon soundtrack work. Fucked up and very filling."
